Sorry I haven't updated sooner. We have had a lot of decisions to make. Lots of prayers and also lots of tears. Now that a decision has been made, I feel nearly emotionally ready to share, ready or not, here it is. Its still going to be hard but the outcome will be worth it!
Where to start? We met with a specialist in early June to talk about IVF only to find out it would cost over $20,000!!!
$20,000 - there is no way we can afford this right now. So Dale and I sat down, had a good cry (or should I say that I had a good cry), and discussed our options. We had a few options that came to mind, some immediatly rejected....others we spoke to the appropriate people, then those options were also rejected.
We have now chosen to adopt.
There are many adoption options. To make a long story short, pros and cons were weighed and we decided to talk to our local foster care program.
A meeting is scheduled with Gloucester County Social Services for the end of the month. We will be discussing what we need to do in order to become foster parents.
